A simpler, cheaper Mailchimp alternative
MailWild is newsletter software for people who found Mailchimp too complicated or too expensive. It costs at least 25% less than Mailchimp Essentials at every list size we sell, you only pay for people you can actually email, and you can bring your Mailchimp export over as is. Setting up is free and you pay when you send.

Why people leave Mailchimp
Most people who switch tell us one of three things.
- The bill keeps going up. Mailchimp cut its free plan to 250 contacts and 500 sends a month on February 17, 2026, and raised prices on older accounts in April 2026.
- You pay for people you can't email. Mailchimp's own help page says unsubscribed and non-subscribed contacts count toward your plan's contact limit unless you archive them.
- It does too much. If you send one newsletter a month, most of Mailchimp's menus are in your way.
What it costs
MailWild has one plan, priced by how many people you can email. Every size is at least 25% under Mailchimp Essentials, with unlimited sends.
| Contacts | 500 | 2,500 | 5,000 | 10,000 | 25,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MailWild | $9 | $33 | $56 | $82 | $202 |
| Mailchimp Essentials | $13 | $45 | $75 | $110 | $270 |
| Constant Contact Lite | $12 | $50 | $80 | $120 | $280 |
Monthly prices, billed monthly, from each company's pricing page as of October 2026. A dash means that plan isn't sold at that size or we couldn't confirm the price.
Drag the slider on the pricing page for your exact list size, or use the Mailchimp cost calculator to include the unsubscribed contacts Mailchimp is billing you for.
What you give up, honestly
MailWild is deliberately small. Before you switch, know that it doesn't have:
- Landing pages. MailWild has signup forms for your website, but not full landing pages.
- A/B testing, SMS or ecommerce automations.
- A free plan. Setting up is free, and you pay when you send to your list.
If you rely on those, stay on Mailchimp or pick a bigger tool. If you send newsletters and want them to look good without a learning curve, MailWild is built for you.
Moving takes about five minutes
- Export your audience from Mailchimp. You get a zip file.
- Drop the zip into MailWild as it is. Unsubscribed and cleaned contacts stay unsubscribed, and your tags become lists.
- Write your next newsletter, or tell the AI your news and let it draft one. Send a test to yourself, then send it.
Questions
Is MailWild cheaper than Mailchimp?
Yes. MailWild costs at least 25% less than Mailchimp Essentials at every list size up to 100,000 contacts. At 10,000 contacts it's $82 a month compared with $110 on Mailchimp Essentials (as of October 2026). MailWild also doesn't charge for unsubscribed contacts.
Can I keep my Mailchimp account while I try MailWild?
Yes. Importing your list doesn't change anything in Mailchimp. Many people send one newsletter from MailWild before they cancel.
Will my unsubscribes come with me?
Yes. When you import Mailchimp's export zip, people who unsubscribed or were cleaned are brought over as unsubscribed, so they won't get your newsletters.
Does MailWild have a free plan?
No. Setting up is free: import your list, write your newsletter and send test emails to yourself. You pay when you send to your list, and there's a 14-day money-back guarantee.
