Constant Contact prices at common list sizes
Constant Contact prices by contact count, in brackets. These are monthly prices, billed monthly, from published price lists as of October 2026. We couldn't load Constant Contact's own pricing page to confirm them, so check it before you decide.
| Contacts | Lite | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 500 | $12 | $35 |
| 501 to 2,500 | $50 | $75 |
| 2,501 to 5,000 | $80 | $110 |
| 5,001 to 10,000 | $120 | $160 |
| Up to 25,000 | $280 | $310 |
Constant Contact also sells a Premium plan for larger marketing teams. Constant Contact removed its free plan in June 2025, so every account is paid.
What each plan includes
According to published reviews of the plans (as of October 2026):
- Lite: 1 user, and a monthly send allowance of 10 times your contact bracket. No automation templates or A/B testing.
- Standard: 3 users, a monthly send allowance of 12 times your contact bracket, plus automation templates and subject line testing.
For a typical small organization sending one or two newsletters a month, Lite's send allowance is plenty. Standard mostly makes sense if you need more than one login or automated email series.
Working out your own price
- Count the contacts you can actually email. Constant Contact doesn't bill unsubscribed contacts, so leave those out.
- Find the bracket that count falls into in the table above. If you're within a few dozen of the top of a bracket, price the next one too, since lists grow.
- Decide whether one login is enough. If two volunteers or staff need their own access, you're looking at Standard, not Lite.
- Check the current price on Constant Contact's pricing page before you sign up. Prices and brackets change.
Example: a parish newsletter with 640 active contacts and one person who sends it lands on Lite in the 501 to 2,500 bracket, at $50 a month according to published price lists.
The 501-contact jump
The bracket boundaries are where the bill surprises people. On Lite, going from 500 contacts to 501 moves you from $12 to $50 a month, more than four times the price for one extra person. The next brackets are wider, so the jump at 501 is the one most small lists hit.
If you're just over 500, a few things help:
- Remove addresses that bounce or that you know are no longer in use.
- Remove duplicates, such as one person entered with two email addresses.
- Ask yourself whether everyone on the list actually wants your emails. A smaller, interested list is worth more than a bigger one.
Constant Contact doesn't bill for unsubscribed contacts, which is one area where it's fairer than Mailchimp.
How MailWild compares
MailWild has one plan, priced by how many people you can email, with unlimited sends (fair use is 12 full-list sends a month). It's at least 25% cheaper than Constant Contact Lite at every size we sell.
| Contacts | 500 | 2,500 | 5,000 | 10,000 | 25,000 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| MailWild | $9 | $33 | $56 | $82 | $202 |
| Constant Contact Lite | $12 | $50 | $80 | $120 | $280 |
Monthly prices, billed monthly, from each company's pricing page as of October 2026. A dash means that plan isn't sold at that size or we couldn't confirm the price.
The brackets are smaller, too. At 501 to 1,500 contacts MailWild is $19 a month, compared with $50 on Constant Contact Lite. You cancel from the Plan screen in your account, with no call needed.
MailWild does less than Constant Contact. There are no landing pages, event tools, SMS or phone support, and no free plan. Setting up is free, and you pay when you send to your list. See the pricing page or why people switch from Constant Contact.
